Equilibrium perturbations for stochastic interacting systems

چکیده
We consider the equilibrium perturbations for two stochastic systems: d-dimensional generalized exclusion process and one-dimensional chain of anharmonic oscillators. add a perturbation order N−α to profile speed up by N1+κ parameters 0<κ≤α. Under some additional constraints on κ α, we show perturbed quantities evolve according Burgers equation in process, decoupled equations chain, both smooth regime.

Interacting Stochastic Systems
Statistical mechanics is the branch of physics that seeks to explain the properties of matter that emerge from microscopic scale interactions. Mathematicians are attempting to acquire a rigorous understanding of the models and calculations arising from physicists’ work. The field of interacting particle systems has proved a fruitful area for mathematical research. Two of the most fundamental mo...
متن کاملInteracting particle systems out of equilibrium
These notes are based on lectures delivered by the authors at the Langeoog seminar of SFB/TR12 Symmetries and universality in mesoscopic systems in November 2007, to a mixed audience of mathematicians and theoretical physicists. After a brief outline of the basic physical concepts of equilibrium and nonequilibrium states, the one-dimensional totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) i...
متن کاملIncomplete equilibrium in long-range interacting systems.
We use Hamiltonian dynamics to discuss the statistical mechanics of long-lasting quasistationary states particularly relevant for long-range interacting systems. Despite the presence of an anomalous single-particle velocity distribution, we find that the central limit theorem implies the Boltzmann expression in Gibbs' Gamma space. We identify the nonequilibrium submanifold of Gamma space charac...
متن کاملRenormalization Analysis of Interacting Spatial Stochastic Systems
We study large space-time scale properties of interacting spatial stochas-tic models arising in population genetics. Among those models are classical branching systems and resampling systems (interacting Feller's branching diiu-sions and interacting Fleming-Viot processes). We consider one-type, multi-type and 1-type populations. The tool of analysis is renormalization. This technique allows to...
متن کاملInteracting particle systems as stochastic social dynamics
The style of mathematical models known to probabilists as Interacting Particle Systems and exemplified by the Voter, Exclusion and Contact processes have found use in many academic disciplines. In many such disciplines the underlying conceptual picture is of a social network, where individuals meet pairwise and update their “state” (opinion, activity etc) in a way depending on the two previous ...
